Introducing our spring Bloggers!

Does the experience of cultural immersion interest you? Do you want to learn about student life in another country? Then the Amherst College Study Abroad student blogs for the spring 2015 semester are a must-read! This semester, we’ve hired three students to share their experiences with the Amherst community. They will share their journey with us, as Amherst students with varied interests and multiple identities and as people with a curiosity of the world around them.

They are:

  • Raizel DeWitt ’16 is in Madrid, Spain with Syracuse University Abroad
  • Omar Pineda ’16 is in Kyoto, Japan with the Associated Kyoto Program
  • Matt Randolph ’16 is in Santiago, Chile with the IFSA-Butler Program

About Beyond the Bubble

The Amherst College Study Abroad Office hires bloggers each semester to share their experiences abroad with the Amherst community and beyond. Our purpose is to capture the holistic experience of studying abroad: the challenges and rewards of immersion, the enthusiasm for different cultures and languages, and recognition of our identity as we travel and live in a new place.
